Chairman’s New Year Message
December 31st, 2009Chairman’s New Year Message
Greetings Friends,
As we stand on the threshold of a New Year with feelings of anxiety and uncertainty, let us reflect on the experiences and lessons of the year 2009. In 2009, amidst the joyful moments there were challenges and times we felt like giving up; however, thanks be to God, our provider, shield, defense and strong tower, we have made it thus far. Throughout the year, God, working through friends, family and people we met on a daily basis, provided for us in our times of need, comforted us in our sad moments and was our source of strength and hope in our weak moments.
As the year 2010 unfolds and a new decade commences, let our reflections lead us to a place where we are reminded that God is the God of all flesh and there is nothing too hard for him. Let us, therefore, at this time of hope and renewal and preparation for the start of a new decade , be reminded of the hope that can be found in Jesus Christ and pledge to renew our hope and strength in him. We may at this time have many questions regarding our future; we may be anxious about our upcoming examinations, our academic career, or our professional career, particularly in these economically challenging times; but let us be challenged by Philippians 4:6 and allow the peace of God to guard our hearts and minds as we seek to approach 2010.
Happy New Year and I pray that the love and wisdom of God help and guide you and His light shine down upon you and bless you throughout 2010.
“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7 NKJV
